Have You Ever? / Kayt Fossler (Mom)
HAVE YOU EVER?
Have you ever had a child? Reach inside yourself and find All the love you have ever known: Love of family and friends, Love of pets, possessions and places, Love of favorite foods, music and experiences. Take all your loves, big and small And let them fill your heart with joy. What a wonderful feeling! Yet it barely begins to scratch the surface Of the depth of love one has for their child.
Have you ever lost a child? Reach inside yourself and find All the pain you have ever known: Pain of losses and regrets, Pain of illness, lost loves and rejection, Pain of memories, failures and unfulfilled dreams. Take all your pains, big and small And let them fill your heart with sorrow. What a terrible ache! Yet it barely begins to scratch the surface Of the depth of pain one has for the loss of their child.
When you lose a child, you lose a part of yourself - literally. And you lose a part of your future: your hopes and dreams. No one ever fully recovers from the loss of a child. Please do not expect that we will ever "get over it". Our hearts will forever be scarred by our loss. Over time, the scars will fade, And we will come to treasure those scars Not as reminders of our loss But of our tremendous capacity for love And how we are so very blessed To carry the memory of our child forever.
So please forgive us our tears They may seem to come too often, But know that they are helping us heal. You cannot protect us from our memories Nor stop our remembrance with your avoidance. So please ask us about our child, For we need to speak of them. And please share your children with us, For we need to share in the joy of others. We are uncomfortable too, but we need you To be present, to listen and to embrace us with compassion.

Dear Kayt and Wes
The good thing about this site is that I found you both. The sad thing is that we are on here at all.Looking at your site I feel the sheer delight you took in life and the gusto for adventure.I hope and pray that your mom remembers just how much living you did in your short time here on earth. It is thru tears that she will remember but tears don't always have to be bad. Most times they are bittersweet.I pray she remembers all the good things and keeps them close in her heart. She is a beautiful caring person and I'm sure the apple didn't fall far from the tree.Love and hugs.Barb/Nicky's MOM Close
Sorry/ Angie Eugene's Mom (M.O.M.S) So sorry for the loss of your son Wes. I guess for both of us we wish that May 6 can be erased from the calender. On May 6, 2007 my son Eugene was murdered by multiple gunshots to the head. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Take care Kayt. And may God be at your side today and always.Close

Never on the sidelines...Wes danced! / Jude Farar (midwife at his birth )
The boy was fast moving...quick to be born and eager to take it all in, and at a most rapid pace. He had a big heart, a tender way. He moved fast all the time. Well, almost all the time. When I visited with my baby, he slowed down to play with him and was so loving and gentle. He enjoyed his life.Whether he was playing ball, swimming, climbing or sitting around the campfire, he seemed to get so much pleasure from it. I always remember him in his clogging shoes. They reminded me of Pee-Wee Herman's borrowed "Tequila" dance shoes. What a hoot! And the kid could dance. He was an endearing spirit. To his brothers, his step-dad and his mom....know he is remembered with love by many. He was a fine, fine boy. And a good dancer. Close

Dear Kayt and Wes, I am so proud to have known Wes and so glad that I know Kayt. You are inspiration to me Kayt, your smile, that chuckle of yours and your ability to stay positive,...... amazing. I will always remember Wes as smiling and concerned about others. He was a very thoughtful and gentle young boy and man. I will never forget him. Thanks for sharing him with us Kayt. I love you Denise Close

Thinking of you today, Wes... your beautiful smile, your boldness. Knowing that your mom still suffers greatly from your loss.
Wrap her tight in Angel Arms today.. and forever.
Help her to dream the sweetest dreams of you that cause her to awaken with a smile on her face... because you have touched it, ever so gently.
